GoDigital 2024 Award for Best Digital Project of the Year

Plastika Skaza and INEA have been honored with the prestigious GoDigital 2024 Award for their project "Visual Inspection of Meter Housings Using Artificial Intelligence." The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS) recognized the best digital solutions that bring significant industrial advancements through innovative technology use.

About the Project
The winning project is the result of successful collaboration between Plastika Skaza and INEA. The AI-powered visual inspection system includes:

• Six cameras for detecting 12 potential defects in smart meter housings.
• QR codes linked with injection molding parameters, enabling efficient production tracking and rapid resolution of complaints.

GoDigital 2024 Finalists
In addition to Skaza and INEA, the finalists included:

• CREAPLUS (in partnership with Belinka Perkemija) for the project "Anomaly Detection and Quality Control Improvement in Production Lines."
• ELES (in partnership with UM FERI) for the project "VegeLine – Vegetation Management Implementation."
  A special recognition for the use of generative AI was awarded to PC7 d.o.o. for their project PandaChat.

GoDigital 2024 Event
The award was presented by GZS in collaboration with the ICT Association of Slovenia, the SRIP GoDigital Strategic Development Innovation Partnership, and the Ministry of Economy, Tourism, and Sport. The conference emphasized the importance of digitalization and artificial intelligence in economic transformation.

GZS President Tibor Šimonka highlighted the need to strengthen digital competencies and innovation in Slovenia:
"Artificial intelligence is key to improving productivity, competitiveness, and innovation. However, we must ensure this transformation incorporates ethical considerations and creates new opportunities for younger generations."
