Company’s success is not only the result of well-devised strategies but also of the positive culture that enables and supports these strategies. Our corporate culture is designed to focus on the well-being of our employees and to create a positive working environment, which ultimately leads to better performance and growth of the company.
Balancing Work and Personal Life
“At Skaza, we strive to balance the work and personal lives of our employees in several ways,” says Niko Medved, Assistant Director at Skaza. “We offer flexible working hours and the option to work from home for office staff, which are two measures that contribute to this balance. Unfortunately, this option is not feasible for our production staff due to the nature of their work. However, last year we introduced a 3-shift system in production, which has brought us closer to meeting the needs of our production employees.”
Remote work is an option utilized by approximately one-third of Skaza’s employees. Office staff have the opportunity to work from home once a week, but we are also open to adjusting this option to individual needs. Our practice includes a system where all employees are present in the office on certain days for coordination, meetings, and training. For exceptional cases, we use conference calls. This practice not only reduces commuting time but also contributes to balancing family and work life, proving to be a win-win situation for both the company and employees. Medved adds, “Our approach, which includes specific days for working in the office and days for working from home, allows for valuable exchange of experiences, knowledge, and strengthening of relationships among colleagues. In a production environment, mutual collaboration is crucial, so we do not see the option of permanent remote work as viable for us.”
Encouraging Innovation and Employee Engagement
At Skaza, we believe that success multiplies when knowledge is shared and work is divided. Therefore, we invest in numerous activities that foster innovation and engagement among our employees, contributing to a pleasant and supportive work environment:
