"I am deeply grateful and honored for the 9th annual charity run 'Children for Children,' where more than 300 children gathered. I am thankful to the parents who bring their children, some of whom have been participating for years. Over nine years, we have raised €111,250," said Tanja Skaza, the project's initiator, at the 9th Skaza charity run 'Children for Children.' This year, they raised a record €25,000, which was distributed among the Inter-municipal Association of Friends of Youth Velenje, Athletic Club Velenje, Swimming Club Velenje - para-swimming group Delfinčki, Red Noses Slovenia, Football Club Rudar Velenje, and the Scouts Šoštanj - rod Pusti grad Šoštanj. In total, €111,250 has been collected over nine years. The children reaffirmed the run's motto: 'We win when we help each other!' Therefore, everyone who ran 200 or 800 meters received a medal."

The children warmed up well at the event before running—mothers with strollers and very young children to older ones all participated. There was plenty of lively entertainment, games, face painting, and delicious, diverse food with a rich gift bag for all runners. The popular rapper Challe Salle entertained the gathered participants, who could take photos with him and get autographs. Mini DJ Academy provided hot dance rhythms, and G-Rega, along with animators on obstacle courses and children's attractions, created an exciting carousel of endless fun possibilities. There was also a rich raffle where every ticket was a winner.

Both the organizers and participants share the understanding that the future of the world depends on the values we instill in the youngest generations.
The highest donation so far has been made possible not only by the charitable runners but also by the sponsors and donors.
