In today's global economy, facing numerous challenges, close collaboration between companies and their suppliers is crucial for maintaining competitiveness and sustainable business development. For Skaza, this is particularly important as it enables them to exceed the expectations of customers and global multinationals, thereby strengthening their own brand and entire supply chain and contributing to the growth and development of the Slovenian economy.
The best suppliers for the year 2023 were announced by Gregor Bujan, head of the supply chain, who emphasized the importance of this award for the dedication and innovation of business partners. The award was received by FIST d.o.o., METALOPREMA d.o.o., and ORO PLASTIKA d.o.o. Their invaluable contribution is crucial for the strategic development of Skaza and enhancing domestic and international competitiveness, Bujan emphasized.
In his address, Niko Medved, Assistant Director of Skaza, emphasized: "We wanted to thank our suppliers for all their past dedication and effort while also calling on them to understand that their role is even more important today and in the future and only together can we successfully implement the set strategy and vision. The Supplier Day represents an additional call to think about how suppliers can add more value to our common story and take on an even more important role in this narrative. In the long run, the winners will be those who seek different, alternative solutions that are more cost-effective and sustainable, and above all, those who are the fastest."
At the forefront of Skaza's strategy is strong collaboration with over 30 suppliers, covering a wide range of areas such as granulates, dyes, packaging, embedded parts, cooperatives, and toolmakers. Skaza also focuses on sustainable added value, including green procurement, recycled materials, bio-based materials, and transportation that reduces carbon footprint. Therefore, Supplier Day was an excellent opportunity to reflect on how suppliers can further contribute to collective success.
Skaza has been creating successful stories with global multinationals since 1977 through reliability, sustainability, and innovation. The reputation of business partners and their brands is enhanced by using sustainable solutions in more than 56 markets. In 2023, out of 5000 tons of purchased plastic materials, they achieved a 21 percent absolute share of recycled material.
