Skaza Achieves Its Biggest Improvement Yet in the EcoVadis Assessment

In the latest EcoVadis assessment, Skaza achieved 72 points out of 100 and once again received a bronze medal, placing us among the top 35% of assessed companies. This year’s result represents our biggest improvement since we began participating in the EcoVadis assessment

EcoVadis evaluates the quality of a company’s sustainability management system across four areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The overall score is expressed on a scale from 0 to 100. According to the current EcoVadis methodology, a score of 72 points falls within the advanced level, indicating a strong and well-structured sustainability management system with defined policies, concrete actions, and measurable results.

Biggest Leap in Environmental Performance

Our most significant improvement was achieved in the environmental category, where we scored 85 points. Compared with our previous score of 63 points, this represents an increase of as many as 22 points.

This result confirms that consistently integrating environmental considerations into our processes, decisions, and development priorities is also reflected in external assessments. For Skaza, this is an important encouragement to continue reducing our environmental impact, using resources more efficiently, and developing circular solutions.

Significant Progress in Ethics and Sustainable Procurement

In ethics, we improved our score from 67 to 76 points, representing an increase of 9 points. This improvement reflects the strengthening of transparent and responsible business practices, as well as a more systematic approach to managing ethical issues.

We also improved our sustainable procurement score by 3 points, an area in which criteria for responsible cooperation with suppliers and the integration of sustainability considerations into the supply chain play an important role.

Our score in labour and human rights remains unchanged. A stable result provides a solid foundation while also clearly highlighting an area in which we aim to take another step forward in the future.

Why Do We Still Have a Bronze Medal Despite the Higher Score?

EcoVadis does not award medals based solely on the number of points achieved. A bronze medal means being ranked among the top 35% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis over the previous 12 months, regardless of industry. Since medals are awarded based on percentile ranking, a higher overall score does not necessarily result in an immediate move to a higher medal category.

This is why we do not measure this year’s achievement solely by the colour of the medal. What matters most is the substantial progress reflected in the assessment itself — particularly the 22-point increase in environmental performance and the 9-point improvement in ethics.

A Result That Sets the Foundation for the Next Step

The new result recognises the work of many colleagues who put sustainability principles into practice every day. At the same time, it provides a clear benchmark for further improvement.

At Skaza, we see sustainability as a continuous process in which concrete actions, measurable results, and a commitment to improving year after year are what matter. With 72 points, we have made our biggest step forward to date. Now, we want to build on it.
