On Saturday, December the 3th, we woke up to a foggy morning before the first Velenje Trail. As many as 200 trail runners and 150 hikers from all over Slovenia took part in the sporting event. The event was attended by members of our sports and cultural association, who followed Pozo's path, which led past Velenje lakes, Odraž, Lubela and Vodemla and back past Konovo all the way to the destination at Velenje lake.
During our journey, the organizers also provided good music, healthy snacks and drinks. The participants covered approximately 17 kilometers and over 800 meters of altitude on the Pozoj track.
The event also had a humanitarian touch. From each entry fee, the organizers allocated 5 euros to the Intermunicipal Association of Friends of Velenje Youth for children's medical holidays. A total of 1,768 euros were collected at the event. Of course, we also participated here. We prepared flyers for all participants, which contained discount codes for products in our new online store. But because we believe in small victories, we also equipped the first three competitors with our Bokashi Organko composters.
At Skaza, we believe in supporting local events that are not only sustainably oriented, raise awareness about the treatment of nature, but also have a charitable note.
