On Friday, June 6, 2025, the 26th annual ceremony recognizing the best innovations in the SAŠA region took place in the stunning setting of Hotel Plesnik in Logarska Dolina. The event, organized by the Savinjsko-šaleška gospodarska zbornica (SŠGZ), brought together numerous innovators, entrepreneurs, and guests. A panel of experts awarded 1 bronze, 6 silver, and 4 gold prizes among 11 submitted innovations, created by 145 innovators from 11 companies.

The event was held under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS), supported by the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, SPIRIT Slovenia, and the ARIS agency. Speeches were given by SŠGZ Vice President Matija Petrin, GZS Executive Director Mag. Marko Djinović, and Mayor of Solčava, Katarina Prelesnik. All emphasized that innovation is a fundamental value for the future of the Slovenian economy and that GZS remains a committed partner in building an environment that fosters innovation and growth.
Dr. Marko Uplaznik, Chair of the Innovation Evaluation Committee, noted in his address: “Innovations don’t happen overnight. Behind every one of them lies creativity, persistence, and above all – passion. And it’s this passion that should drive us forward – with new technologies, to the sky.”
The ceremony was accompanied by a performance from singer Deja Čerček and hosted by Franci Podbrežnik. Awards were presented by SŠGZ Director Rok Plankelj, Matija Petrin, and Mayor Katarina Prelesnik.
