With over a decade-long tradition, the Web Retailer Award stands as the largest competition for online stores in the Adriatic region. Organized by Ceneje.si, Jeftinije.hr, and Idealno.rs, all part of the Heureka group, this year's WRA 2023 saw 242 online stores from Slovenia, Croatia, and Serbia compete, with 68 awarded across 14 categories. Skaza, a recognized sustainability solutions company, received the prestigious award for the best creative campaign, SWOOŠ-AAHHH. Skaza extends heartfelt gratitude to the international WRA23 committee for recognizing our sustainable efforts.
With the "SWOOŠ-AAHHH – When the Earth Breathes" campaign, we introduced Organko Daily, a daily container for organic waste, which has garnered three international awards this year: Red Dot Design Award, Big See Design Award, and was a finalist at the European Plastic Awards. SWOOŠ-AAHHH cleverly emphasizes the need for just one simple hand gesture (SWOOŠ) to correctly dispose of kitchen food waste. This initiative promotes environmental awareness, efficient management of organic waste, and encourages home composting with Bokashi Organko composters, aiding the soil to breathe and finally relax (AHHHH). "The campaign conveyed how little is needed to transform our organic waste into a valuable resource," explains Dr. Jelena Rašula, Marketing Manager at Skaza.
The campaign illuminated Skaza's mission of co-creating sustainably oriented solutions for daily use, raising awareness, and contributing to a cleaner environment. The creative campaign is the result of dedicated teamwork, with special pride in the marketing team. Key contributors, such as Anja Damjanović, Anja Omovšek, Gregor Aš, and Matej Oder, played crucial roles in creating the campaign. "The Best Creative Campaign award is dedicated to them, as they surpassed comfort zones and believed that together, they would achieve success," proudly adds Rašula.
The campaign achieved its set goals in both awareness and sales, with a twofold increase during the campaign month. Rašula already announces the continuation with a series of short videos about Bokashi Organko composters. The new knowledge and experiences from European experts have positioned the E-commerce Jam conference on the European map as one of the most important conferences in the region.
