September 30th was a special day at Lake Velenje, Slovenia. 720 children came to be part of the second charity run Child to Child organized by the company Skaza. Together they raised 7,200 EUR and donated them to the group of swimmers with Down-Syndrome, called Dolphins. At the end of October, swimmers will travel to Paris to take part in the European swimming championship.
Together with more than 50 sponsors
, Skaza organized a beautiful event for children. Even one of the greatest Slovenian alpine skiers of all times Jure Košir
came to Velenje to warm up young runners.
Children were separated into four different groups. Hand in hand they crossed the finish line. Each pair has a sticker and a medal. They stick the stickers to the so-called solidarity wall
. During the event, children also attended various children's workshops.
After a short concert by famous Slovenian singer Manca Špik
, Tanja Skaza
gave a voucher for 7200 EUR to the group of swimmers
, who also ran.
Skaza would like to thank every single one who made this event happen.
We win when we help each other.
